Tinnitus Awareness Week
7 February, 2022 (All day) to 13 February, 2022 (All day)

Tinnitus Week in 2022 is taking place from 7-13 February. Without research, we won’t find a cure for tinnitus, so Tinnitus Week will be a great opportunity to showcase:

  • research that is currently going on across the UK
  • research the BTA is involved with
  • what the future holds

Research has and always will be a key priority for the BTA, and it is of course important that we balance research priorities with helping the thousands of people who contact us each year needing support and advice. But research is something which is never far from our thoughts and actions. It’s something we are all very passionate about and are pushing for.

The BTA has a strong voice, but we need to get that voice heard in the right places. We want to get tinnitus research high up on the political agenda for every single person who experiences the condition. We want all MPs to be made aware of the number of people in their constituency who struggle with tinnitus and need more help. During Tinnitus Week you will be able to help us get our message out by sending a letter to your MP, and contacting them on social media. The letters and suggested messaging will be available online to download when the week launches on 3 February, so please do keep an eye out for them.

We’re also exploring options around petitioning the Government and shaping plans for activity to take place during Tinnitus Week. We’ll share more details and information about how you can get involved – on social media, our website and in the monthly Focus e-newsletter in the coming weeks
