Random Acts of Kindness Week
Random Acts of Kindness Week is held once a year in mid-February. It’s a time dedicated to kindness, encouraging people to make a conscious effort to brighten someone else’s day through thoughtful actions.
The week was established by the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation to promote compassion, harmony and connection through simple, meaningful gestures—no matter how small. It runs alongside Random Acts of Kindness Day, which usually falls within the same period.
A random act of kindness might be treating a colleague to a coffee, praising someone for their hard work, or slipping a cheerful note into your child’s lunchbox. There are countless ways to take part, spread positivity and potentially make a real difference to someone’s day.
Who takes part in Random Acts of Kindness Week?Schools, workplaces and other organisations often get involved, helping to embed kindness into everyday life and encourage positive relationships.
