Allergy Awareness Week 2026
Allergy Awareness Week is a campaign led by Allergy UK to raise understanding of allergies and how they affect everyday life. It highlights the importance of recognising symptoms, managing risks, and supporting people living with allergies.
Allergy affects more than a quarter of the UK population, yet many people still struggle to recognise the symptoms or access the support they need.
This year, Allergy Awareness Week continues our ‘I Wish I Knew’ campaign, highlighting a simple but powerful message: diagnosis matters.
Because the right knowledge at the right time can change the course of an allergy journey.
The 2026 theme, “I Wish I Knew… Diagnosis Matters,” focuses on how getting the right diagnosis can be life-changing. It emphasises that many people live with undiagnosed or misdiagnosed allergies, and that early, accurate diagnosis helps people manage their condition properly, avoid triggers, and reduce the risk of serious reactions.
