Age NI - Meadowbank Residential Home

Our residential care services are recognised as models of best practice for people with dementia. Meadowbank Residential Home, owned and managed by Age NI, provides excellent care for older people with Dementia.

Meadowbank is a registered home for 25 older people with Dementia. The home was opened in 1998 and was built based on the principles of good design for people with Dementia. Each of the rooms has an en-suite facility. The home is built with 2 houses of 8 residents and 1 house with 9 residents. Each house has it's own social space fostering an intimate and friendly environment for it's residents. Clare Lafferty (pictured above with resident Lily) is the Care Manager in charge of the running the home.

Philosophy of care

Our vision is to preserve the basic rights of older people with Dementia to retain choice, privacy, independence, dignity and fulfilment in later life. Meadowbank is a safe, domestic environment where the quality of life of each resident is paramount.

  • Own GP if required

Inspections are periodically conducted by The Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA) each year. Reports are available to download at rqia.org.uk
