The Sleep Charity - Sleep Support for Young People (Parents/Carers)

This introductory course is aimed at parents and carers of teenagers with sleep difficulties. The aim is to provide you with online learning to develop your understanding of your child’s sleep issue and to use this knowledge alongside a copy of the Teen Sleep Journal (posted to you) to share with your child to support them through a four-week programme.

Our training and Teen Sleep Journal have been developed by working in collaboration with young people and professionals in the field. We firmly believe in empowering young people with sleep knowledge so that they can make informed choices about their sleep routines.

Learning Outcomes

  • Recognise the importance of sleep for your child’s wellbeing and the challenges they may face around sleep issues
  • To identify possible reasons for sleep issues
  • To identify practical strategies to address sleep issues and to have appropriate tools to share with your child
