Active Travel Challenge

The final day of the Active Travel Challenge is today! Thank you to all who took part and logged their walking and cycling journeys during the challenge. There are still prizes to be awarded for individual participation and also to workplace teams. Winners will be announced through the ATC e-zine.

Family Cycling Project

This is a new initiative. Based at the Active Travel Hub at CS Lewis Square, family groups can sign up for a 3 session programme, which includes a cycle ride along one of our local greenways, a fun cycle skills session at CS Lewis Square and basic bike maintenance skills. Refreshments and Sustrans goodies included. The course starts on Saturday 2ndd October from 2pm to 4pm. PSNI Bike Registration

Sign up and get your bike registered for free, by the PSNI on Saturday 9thth October between 10.30am and 1pm. The security marking and registration are good, visible deterrents to bike thieves. Register at

Better by Bike – 6 week programme

Starting soon, this programme for adults includes 6 x 2 hour sessions with a mix of cycle rides, basic bike maintenance skills, tips for lights, locks and equipment, as well as the option of completing on-road cycle training. For further details email martha.robb@sustrans.org.uk
