As Christmas is fast approaching, we have cycling activities to get festive and try, taking place at the Active Travel Hub, CS Lewis Square, in the next couple of weeks:

Santa Cycle – Titanic Quarter

Get into the festive spirit and join our leisurely adult Santa cycle ride to Titanic Quarter on Friday 17th December:

• Ride departs the Sustrans Active Travel Hub at CS Lewis Square (Newtownards Road, East Belfast) at 12.30pm and returns for 2.00pm.
• The ride route is mainly traffic free.
• Wear something festive and bling your bike with decorations to win one of our spot prizes!
• Complimentary mulled wine & mince pies on return.
• This ride is for adults (over 18's) who can already cycle.

E-bike Trial

E-bikes are an option to consider for everyday journeys particularly if you live in a hilly area, want to travel some distance, have limited fitness or are less mobile. Why not try out one of our e-bikes in a 45 mins session at CS Lewis Square.

E-Bike Loan

To find out more about our e-bike loan scheme read what Lisa has to say: ‘Earlier this year I was able to borrow an e-bike from Sustrans for several days. I am not much of a cyclist and generally hate hills, but wanted to see if an e-bike would be an option for me to do my 10 mile commute. My main hopes were that I would arrive at work in a reasonable time, and not need a lie down as soon as I arrived due to my lack of fitness! It was a total success. The commute was very achievable and I even used the bike to run errands at home instead of using the car. I definitely hope to get my own e-bike in the future as I hope to become less reliant on my car.’ Lisa, EastSide Partnership
