Jump into June - EA Step Challenge 2023
1 June, 2023 (All day) to 30 June, 2023 (All day)

To end the 22/23 academic year on a physical and mental high the EA Health & Wellbeing team invite you to take part in our Jump into June – Summer Step challenge.

During the 30 days of June we will bring you a new theme each week and offer words of encouragement, motivational tips, education and challenges to help you and your team achieve your goals and have some fun along the way.

Jump into June begins on Thursday 1 June 2023 and will end on Friday 30 June 2023.

Each team will be made up of 4 members from any department or school across the Education Authority.

The challenge will be spilt into 4 weeks and will finish on a Sunday each week.

Week 1: 1st – 11th June

Week 2: 12th – 18th June

Week 3: 19th – 25th June

Week 4: 26th – 30th June

Each Team will choose a Team Leader and the Team Leader will then forward us (via MS Forms) the team total each week on a Tuesday 12.00 noon at the latest. We are relying on everyone to be open and honest with their steps, remember it’s not just a group challenge it’s about encouragement, connection and most of all fun!

It doesn’t matter if you’re a casual stroller, a power walker or a marathon runner this challenge aims to inspire you to be more active and connect with friends and colleagues. So let’s all join together to make this fun and engaging for everyone.

If you are an individual looking to take part, just drop us an email to healthandwellbeing@eani.org.uk and we will help create a team for you.

The team with the most steps in total by the end of the challenge AND the team with the most creative team name will all receive a Health and Wellbeing Goodie Bag, now if that’s not an incentive, what is?

Take a look at some feedback from staff who took part in our step challenge last year:

“I loved the competitive but encouraging nature of the event”

“Liked the fun facts and pictures each week”

“Working as a team”

“Encouraged me to engage with colleagues and make a real effort to get out and about.”

“Friendly competition within school. Incentive for everyone to get outside and get active.”

“Connecting people and encouraging exercise”

There is no one giant step that does it, it’s a lot of little steps
