World Arthritis Day
12 October, 2023 (All day)

The annual World Arthritis Day (WAD) is observed on October 12. The goal of World Arthritis Day 2023 is to increase public awareness of the condition known as arthritis.

Five podcasts with pertinent content will be produced specifically for this day by the European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR) to commemorate Awareness Day.

People from all over the world unite to speak out against all rheumatic and musculoskeletal illnesses (RMDs) this world osteoarthritis day 2023.

A disease that affects the joints is arthritis. Joint pains, stiffness, and swelling are some of their frequent symptoms. People occasionally experience warmth, redness on their skin, and a reduced range of motion in the affected joints.

Osteoarthritis is the most prevalent type of arthritis. Aching, stiffness, and swelling in and around one or more joints are the symptoms.

Facts:

  1. Osteoarthritis is the most prevalent type of arthritis. Lupus, gout, and rheumatoid arthritis are additional prevalent types.
  2. Your ability to work may be restricted by arthritis or prevent you from working.
  3. In addition to reducing arthritis pain and enhancing function, mood, and quality of life, it also reduces physical activity like swimming, biking, and walking.
  4. Keep a healthy weight. By managing their weight, people can lower their risk of developing osteoarthritis of the knee.
