EA Walk Leader Training
We are currently launching our EA Walking Network which will encourage staff to meet up within their local areas for a walk. To enable us to commence this we are partnering with PHA to enable our staff to be trained as a Walk Leader.
The purpose of this training is to equip EA Staff with the skills required to lead safe health walks throughout the workplace.
Course content includes:
1. Physical activity & Health
2. What is a health walk?
3. Role of a Walk Leader
4. The paperwork
5. Lets go for a walk
6. What are you going to do next?
The outcomes of the training are to ensure that leaders are confident and equipped to lead walks. We expect Walk Leaders to deliver at least 7 walks per year.
Walk Leaders will be contacted annually to provide up to date contact details and to obtain information on their current walks. Please only attend if you are willing to lead walks.
Once trained Walk Leaders will be covered by Walking for Health insurance but only if they are listed on our database, provide up to date contact details and information on walks delivered on an annual basis.
This training will take place online, and a link will be issued prior to 18 October 2023
