Menopause for Managers

World Menopause Day is held every year on 18 October. The purpose of the day is to raise awareness of the menopause, break the stigma and highlight the support options available for improving health and wellbeing.

To mark this event EA have arranged for Stephanie Reid, Menopause Consultant and Coach to deliver an information session to EA Managers and leaders.

 

This training is primarily for managers and leaders. Explains what menopause is and why it matters, how it affects employees in the workplace, how to support colleagues and what line managers need to know about their responsibilities.

This session will cover:

  • What is the menopause? Stages and symptoms
  • How the menopause can impact employees
  • Legal framework and relevant legislation
  • Policies & Procedures
  • How to provide support and advice. (Risk assessments, reasonable adjustments, etc.)
  • How to have sensitive conversations about the menopause
  • Communication and the importance of SMT buy-in.
