Beating the Financial Blues – Information Webinar
20 January, 2025 (All day)

Monday 20 January 2025, 4.00pm – 4.30pm

Did you know that 50% of people in Northern Ireland are not confident in managing their money?

Every year the third Monday in January is known as ‘Blue Monday’. The term Blue Monday was first coined in 2004 by psychologist Cliff Arnall. We’re all fed-up of the dark winter nights, the festive cheer is a distant memory and people are struggling to make their December pay stretch to the end of January.

While we can’t do a lot about the weather, we can take control of spending habits, ensuring a financially healthier 2025.

To help build our financial wellbeing confidence join Margaret McCloskey from Money and Pensions Service on Monday 20 January 2025 as she hosts an information webinar, outlining the everyday tools and resources available on the www.MoneyHelper.org.uk Government website.

The webinar will demonstrate the following areas:

  • Compare Bank accounts
  • Budget Planner
  • How to improve your Credit Score
  • Your options for borrowing money
  • What to do when you have refused credit
  • Benefits calculator
  • Debt Advice locator
  • Debt and problem gambling debt
