Sustrans Active Travel Hub CS Lewis Square Belfast – E-News for Local Workplaces

If you are keen to do more for your health and the environment this year, Sustrans can help support workplaces and local employees become more active for every day journeys and in leisure time.

Please see below activities taking place in the next couple of months:

• Zoom Information Session – Tues 15th Feb 12.30pm to 1pm. Find out more about our programme of events at CS Lewis Square and how we can support local employees and organisations to be more active. To register: https://activetravel15feb.eventbrite.co.uk A commuter pack including pannier to be won in a prize draw for all attending.
• Better by Bike - starts Thursday 10th Feb 10am to 12noon. A 6 week programme for adults, who can already cycle. You will have the chance to enjoy leisurely rides along local greenways, learn the basics of how to keep your bike roadworthy and complete cycle training to build skills andconfidence. • E-bike Trials - Sat 26th February 1.30pm to 5pm. Book into a 30mins session – each session includes a demonstration and trial in a traffic free area as well as a short cycle ride to Victoria Park and back. To book: https://ebiketrial26feb.eventbrite.co.uk

• E-bike Loans – if you are based in a local workplace in east Belfast and interested in a loaning an e-bike to trial commuting, please do get in touch regarding a week long loan. Email: martha.robb@sustrans.org.uk

• Cycle Friendly Employer Scheme, Cycling UK – To find out how cycle friendly your workplace is visit website where you will be able to complete a free assessment and discover more about the scheme. Information is also attached. Allstate, Mays Meadow, Belfast was recently award their Gold Accreditation. Congratulations to the team for this success!

• On-Road Cycle Training – dates for March coming soon.
