Cycle 2 Work Scheme

To promote healthier journeys to work and to reduce environmental pollution, the 1999 Finance Act introduced an annual tax exemption which allows employers to loan cycles and cyclists safety equipment to employees as a tax free benefit.

The EA are pleased to continue our partnership with Halfords in a new and improved Cycle2Work Scheme.

The biggest change is the new £2,000 pound cap (increased from 1k).

You can sign up at www.cycle2work.info using your name, email address and employer code which is EA12C2W. Note this is for 52 week contracted staff.

Please note: if you are a term time/retainer fee paid employee, the application process will open in June and close in August. Further details will be available here in May to assist you in making application.

Please see attachments below which will show you how to get involved.

Also please Click Here to view a pre-recording with Andy from Halfords where he talks us through the scheme and shows us how easy it is to save money while spreading the cost of a bike purchase.

To find out what stores you can obtain a cycle through Cycle2Work the store location can be used. This will search Halfords stores and you can select to search for alternatives which will show Independent bike shops in the area that you can redeem our Cycle2Work vouchers at.The link is https://www.cycle2work.info/bikes/store-locator
