Ann McCann
My name is Ann McCann and I work with young people in Alternative Education provision. I have worked in Education for 26 years in a variety of contexts. I am married with four children and have a very cute dog. I enjoy Walking, Reading, Creative Writing and Voluntary work.
My Professional interests include: Special Education Provision, Compassionate Leadership, Health and Wellbeing, Parental Engagement, Student Voice, Stress Control, Counselling, Safeguarding, Recovery Curriculum, Nurturing, Kindness strategies and Resilience building. I am delighted to be serving as an EA Wellbeing Champion promoting the importance of Well Being to colleagues. I think it is easy to lose sight of our own Wellbeing needs as Employees, Carers, Parents etc, as we tirelessly seek to give our best in the service of our young people.
I believe the EA Wellbeing programme will go a long way in helping us meet our own Wellbeing needs. I am looking forward to Signposting Wellbeing activities and resources, becoming a point of contact for colleagues wanting to know more about the Wellbeing programme and serving as a source of encouragement and support to them, in engaging and maintaining a commitment to Health and Wellbeing in general.
