Geraldine McGowan
In a previous life, I was a SENCo in North Belfast.
I have been with NEELB/EA since 2004, and am a Senior Teacher for the Literacy Service in Locality North, where I manage 18 teachers over two council areas.
I am (almost) an empty-nester and have now found time to sign up to a gym.
My extra-curricular life includes being Chair of Centre Stage Theatre company, and a member of the Board of Governors in my local Primary school. I have been a member of the Linenhall library since my school days, and love the peace and calm of a library visit, and the anticipation of reading a new book, and being introduced to new characters, or revisiting familiar ones.
Being a Health and Wellbeing champion offers a positive way to promote, identify, and signpost ways to support the wellbeing of colleagues.
