Mindfulness Learning for Life and Work - 6 Week Course
16 January, 2024 - 17:00

Mindfulness Learning for Life and Work - 6 Week Course Starting on Tuesday 16th January 2024

Ever thought about developing mindfulness? If you worry about the past, fret about the future and struggle to cope with the present it could be your key to a happier, more stress-free life.

Mindfulness is the practice of bringing your attention fully into the present moment and observing whatever arises with friendly curiosity and without judgment. Being fully present stops the constant whirring of thoughts and anxieties that drive up blood pressure, trigger anxiety, and contribute to a range of stress-related health problems and fractured relationships.

The challenges of living in our ever increasingly busy and demanding lives can leave us burned out, anxious, and blind to the joys of life. Developing a mindfulness practice can help us to stay regulated and positive so that we respond rationally rather than react ‘mindlessly’ to life’s many challenges. Mindfulness helps us become more effective, taming potentially overwhelming emotions and resulting in us feeling happier and more content.

Course tutorCaroline Stewart, is an accredited CBT therapist working in the NHS and private sector. She trained in mindfulness at Oxford Mindfulness Centre and is a member of BAMBA (British Association for Mindfulness Based Approaches)
