Time To Talk Day 2024
Time To Talk Day 2024
Time to Talk Day 2024, the nation’s biggest annual mental health conversation will take place on Thursday 1st February 2024. It’s run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness, in partnership with Inspire in Northern Ireland.
The theme in 2024 is: Say What You Really Mean. The more conversations we have, the better life is for everyone. Talking about mental health isn’t always easy and it’s even harder sometimes to discuss what’s actually going on. But a conversation has the power to change lives.
Time to Talk Day is the perfect opportunity to start a conversation about mental health. Sometimes, it’s easier to tell people we’re “fine”, “grand”, or “ok” than it is to say how we really feel.
We have put together some handy tips for you and your teams to get involved:-
- Check in with your colleagues and ask them how they’re doing. Host a coffee morning or group lunch, have a conversation and listen to what you hear.
- Try some ‘ice breaking’ exercises to get people comfortable with the concept of telling stories and relating experiences. Learn something new about each other: favourite music, films, animals or food.
- This could also be a good opportunity to talk about what helps you to maintain your wellbeing or de-stress.
- Join colleagues for a Walk and Talk in your area or set up your own Walk and Talk with your team
