Parenting Week is supported by Parenting Focus, it is a week celebrated in October each year to recognise and celebrate all those in a parenting role.

The theme for 2024 is ‘For Every Family’

At Parenting Focus, we know that there is no one ideal family that every family is unique and deserves to be celebrated. This year, for Parenting Week highlighting the Positivity of Parenting, our theme is "For Every Family." The week will have the aim of embracing and honouring the diversity that makes each family special.

There will be a week-long celebration from October 21st to October 25th 2024 highlighting the rich diversity of family life. Recognising that families are vibrant and diverse and made up in different ways. The week is to celebrate all parents and carers of children wherever and whoever they are. Parents regardless of gender, race, socio-economic status ability, sexuality, or any other distinguishing factor deserve equal respect, support and opportunities to raise their children in a safe, nurturing and loving environment.

Throughout Parenting Week we will host a variety of events for parents, carers, schools and organisations to get involved!

• Host a Positivi-Tea Break: Gather with fellow parents, friends, family and colleagues for a tea break to celebrate the joy and positivity of parenting For Every Family. Share positive parenting experiences, offer support, and celebrate the small victories. Post your PositiviTEA moments and support on social media using the hashtags #ParentingWeek24 #ForEveryFamily. Tell us how you find joy in parenting and inspire others with your stories.Encourage your community to take a Positivi-Tea Break.
