Living with Prostate Cancer
Approximately 400,000 men are living with and after prostate cancer in the UK. Living with prostate cancer can affect your everyday life, work and relationships. Even if you've stopped treatment you might still have side effects and worry about your cancer coming back.
A healthy diet and regular physical activity are important for general health and can help you stay a healthy weight. This may be particularly important if you have prostate cancer, as there is strong evidence that being overweight raises the risk of aggressive (more likely to spread) or advanced prostate cancer.
Living with prostate cancer can be hard to deal with emotionally as well as physically and can affect how you feel. If you are feeling down or worried and are finding it hard to deal with things, speak to your GP or specialist team. There are treatments and support available.
