Working From Home - EA Staff Support

EA recognises that with a significant number of staff now working from home the need for enhanced help and support from the Authority will take many forms during these unprecedented times.

In order to assist staff during this difficult period EA is exploring ways to help you transition smoothly to your new way of working as well as looking at ways to support the wider need for better social distancing.

Workplace Posture and Ergonomics

It is imperative to be aware of the importance of ‘good posture’ and ‘ergonomics’, especially when working from home where bad habits can creep in, increasing the risk of back pain, workplace stress and repetitive strain injuries. An improved workstation setup can also support you to work well and help to sustain morale levels during this very challenging time for all.

To help you with your home working setup EA will be allocating (Display Scree Equipment) DSE and workstation equipment where possible.

You can now register an interest for the following items

  • A display screen monitor
  • A keyboard
  • A mouse
  • Arrangements to borrow your existing work chair (please note staff with a specialist chair, linked to underlying health conditions, may be prioritised).
