Alzheimer's Society - Support Services Volunteer
Volunteer with one of our services and provide vital support for people affected by dementia.
Why volunteer with our dementia support services?
By volunteering for one of our services you can help provide vital support, reduce isolation and increase the wellbeing of people affected by dementia.
From activities and social groups to information supply, our wide-ranging services are at the heart of what we do. Volunteers play an important role in helping us meet the varied needs and personalities of everyone affected by dementia.
What will I be doing?
We provide a range of different services, so there are lots of ways to get involved. Whether you can give an hour, a day or more, you can make an important difference to the life of someone living with dementia.
The best way to find out what your volunteering could involve is to see what roles are listed in your local area. A few examples of services we offer include:
- Singing for The Brain
- Group Support
- CriSP (Carer Information and Support Programme).
Am I qualified?
There are plenty of roles you can get involved with no prior experience required. You will also have the opportunity to gain new skills and training, depending on the role you choose.
