BEAT - Digital Helpline Volunteers

Our Digital Helpline Volunteers are a national team of volunteers, assisting our Helpline by offering support to people who reach out to our services in need of support.

Helping people of all ages and backgrounds, you will be responding to emails from service users, web chats, and facilitating our nightly online support groups.

In return for your time you’ll:

  • Volunteer from the comfort of your own home. This opportunity is remote, so you can choose your regular two-hour shift each week and log on from home.

Want to join our team of incredible volunteers?

If you:

  • Have good listening skills.
  • Want to support sufferers and parents/carers/partners/friends of sufferers of eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, ARFID and OSFED.
  • Can commit to a regular two hour shift once a week for a period of six months.
  • Want to contribute towards our Helpline to support people and their loved ones on their recovery journey.

We are looking for Digital Helpline Volunteers to support our Helpline service. This is a great opportunity to help support those affected by eating disorders, and to truly make a difference.

Digital Helpline Volunteers undertake one two-hour shift per week supporting others and we ask for a minimum commitment of 12 months.
