Stop! Think Fraud
24 November, 2025 (All day) to 31 December, 2025 (All day)

Fraud is now the most common crime in the UK, and many scams are becoming increasingly convincing. To help protect people at home and at work, the government has launched Stop! Think Fraud, a national campaign designed to raise awareness of common fraud tactics and give simple, practical advice on how to stay safe. The campaign encourages everyone to pause and check before responding to unexpected calls, messages or requests for personal information, and it brings all the key guidance together in one place to make it easier to spot signs of fraud early.

As part of the campaign’s wider focus on protecting the public, we’re encouraging everyone to take a moment to explore the guidance and share it with friends and family.

A few small steps—such as enabling two-step verification on your accounts, being cautious with unexpected payment requests, and verifying unfamiliar contacts—can make a big difference. Staying informed helps protect not only your personal information and finances, but also your peace of mind. If something doesn't feel right, remember: Stop, Think, and Check.
