Exercise releases endorphins which help vou feel better and even sleeping better. Walking & exercise classes are good activities to do with friends.

Eat Well

Eating a balanced diet and drinking lots of water can improve your physical health and reduces mood swings. Why not get the family involved in cooking together

Drink Sensibly

Drink sensibly: We often drink alcohol to change our mood. Some people drink to deal with fear or loneliness, butthe effect is only temporary. Save important conversations for when you are not under the influence.

Keep in Touch

Friends and family can make you feel included and cared for andhearing the views of others can help you keep things in perspective. Try to be present when you spend time together, and remove distractions like phones & TV.

Take a Break

Take a break: even a short break from a difficult situation can help you de-stress. Try taking a walk or taking 10 minutes to practise a mindfulness technique to bring back some balance. Our relationship with our self is the most important one we have.

Do something you are good at

Do something you are good at. Enjoying yourself helps beat stress. Doing an activity you enjoy probably means you're good at it and achieving something boosts your self-esteem.

Accept who you are

Accept who you are. Don't forget we are all good at different things and you may have more to offer than you believe. Try to think of 10 things you are really good at and keep the list beside you.

Talk

Talking about your feelings can help you stay mentally fit and copewith difficult situations. Many of the problems in our relationships come from ineffective communication
