1 in 2 people will receive a cancer diagnosis during their lifetime but up to 50% of cancers could be prevented by adopting a healthy lifestyle and nutrition is key to this. This session will look at the close link between nutrition, obesity and cancer prevalence.

 

We recently had Fiona from Cancer Focus NI provide us with a session on Nutrition and Cancer Prevention, during this session Fiona covered the below topics:

 

• The NHS Eatwell guide and the importance of a balanced diet

• Inflammation and its effects on the body

• The dangers of processed foods and salt intake

• Sugar addiction and water intake

• The link between obesity and cancer.
