The evenings are getting lighter and the weather is getting brighter and we’ve lots of exciting things for you to experience over Easter. Hunt some eggs, track down some ducks or try something a bit different with a zipline! Here are some of our picks.

Wonderland Wood at Antrim Castle Gardens, 8-24 April

For a fun-filled family day out this Easter, head to Antrim Castle Gardens and join in the adventure on the Wonderland Wood trail. Answer the clues and follow directions which leads you to lesser-known paths, solving clues along the way to help Clara find her special clues to open the magical treasure box. Book tickets here.

Get crafty at The Burnavon, Cookstown, 9 April

Take your little ones to the Burnavon for a fun-filled afternoon of arts and crafts taster sessions. With a variety of activities why not try your hand at drawing an Easter bunny, chick or Easter egg? Free admission but booking essential. Phone (028) 8676 9949 to secure your timeslot.

Get ready for the new season at Glenarm Castle and Garden, opening 9 April

This Easter visitors to Glenarm Castle and Garden in the picturesque village of Glenarm can explore the historic castle and beautiful gardens before enjoying a cuppa and some treats in the pretty Tea Rooms. And be sure to check out Ireland’s first Mini Land Rover experience, E-Bike hire, the Pizza Pavilion and The Milk Parlour featuring ice cream using milk from Northern Ireland’s only remaining Shorthorn dairy herd located on the estate.

W5 Belfast Blitz Theatre Experience, 9-23 April

Suitable for ages 8 plus, this brand-new immersive theatre experience from Dan Gordon, is set to be a thrilling show. Telling the story of the Belfast Blitz, the performance will bring you back to Belfast showing what life in the city was like leading up to the night of the first air raid. Join the Easter egg hunt at The Argory, 14 April (plus other dates)

Head to The Argory this Easter and pick up your trail map to embark on your world of adventures. Find nature-inspired activities as you navigate your way around the trail with your map and trusty pencil and enjoy a chocolate egg treat once you make it to the end.

Go on an Easter Duck Trail at WWT Castle Espie, 14-24 April

An Easter hunt with a difference is on the cards this year at Castle Espie. Pick up a trail card and crack the clues as you navigate around the wetlands trying to find the bright yellow cheeky ducks – you may even spot a real duck on your way around if you’re lucky.

We’re going on an Easter Egg hunt, Florence Court, 15-22 April

Head to Florence Court and explore the beautiful gardens, trails, and parklands on this seasonal Easter hunt. Arm yourself with a trail map and pencil and make your way along the trail with nature-inspired activities and enjoy a chocolate egg at the end!

Easter at Corick House Hotel and Spa, Clogher, 16 and 17 April

On Saturday 16 April enjoy a delicious and decadent Easter themed Chocolate Afternoon Tea in the beautiful surroundings of Corick House Hotel and Spa. (Booking essential by phoning (028) 8554 8216). And on Easter Sunday they are having their annual Easter Sunday Lunch where each child will receive a map of the hotel and Easter basket for the traditional Easter Egg hunt. Join the Easter Egg Hunt at Jungle NI, 16-19 April

The Jungle NI needs you this Easter for a special quest against time. Make your way through the enchanted forest armed with clues to solve the puzzles and answer the riddles – all in the hopes of finding the missing eggs at the end of the trail! Join an Easter Egg Hunt with a difference, Ballyholme beach, 17 April

The team at SUPhub NI are inviting you to an Easter Egg hunt on water! Suitable for 6 years plus, and fancy dress encouraged, try and find the easter eggs hidden in the water across the bay – you may even be lucky and find one of the prizes inside!

Easter Fun at the Ulster Folk Museum, 17, 18 and 19 April

Come along to An Creagán, at the foothills of the beautiful Sperrin Mountains between 11am and 3pm on Easter Monday for a fun-filled day out. With arts and crafts, wild woods play, a troll trail, clay sculpture, entertainment in the courtyard and toasting marshmallows by the campfire this promises to be a fabulous day out for all the family. Easter Monday Picnic in the Park, Forthill, Enniskillen, 18 April

Head to Enniskillen on Easter Monday for the return of the Picnic in the Park. With activities including an easter egg trail, music from the bandstand, traditional games, hula hooping and baby chicks on site to cluck over, this promises to be an enjoyable family day out.

Try out the new River Rapid, Ireland’s longest zipline at Colin Glen, from 15 April

Opening in April (pre-booking available now) this is one not to miss. Are you brave enough to try out the River Rapid, Ireland’s longest zipline, high over the Belfast Hills at Colin Glen? A 700-metre-long ride, with a launch height of 100 metres – give it a go and experience the adrenaline as you travel at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour.
