EA Running Network Launch

Workplace Health

The EA Running Network was formally launched at Hillsborough Park run by the Education Minister, Paul Givan and EA Chairperson Barry Mulholland on Saturday 12 October 2024.

Paul Givan stated:

"I am delighted to endorse and formally launch the EA running network at Hillsborough. I am an avid partrunner and Hillsborough Forest is one of a number of Parkruns in our lovely Lagan Valley. This is a great initiative by the EA – encouraging exercise and well being is so important in education for our staff as well and this complements other developments such as the schools Daily Mile around the centrality of exercise”.

Barry Mulholland stated:

“It is great to be here this morning to support and endorse the EA Running Network Launch Day at the Hillsborough Park Run. Creating a healthy culture in the Education Authority is extremely important for all. We believe by supporting the overall health and wellbeing of our staff, that this will help to ensure we are self-aware of our own health and equipped to be role models for our children and young people, inspiring them to be the best that they can be . In EA, we are committed to creating a great workplace, where our staff have a sense of pride, belonging, enjoyment and a strong connection with their colleagues. I wish to congratulate all involved in organising the Network”
