EA's Summer Family Food Appeal 2021 Success

Workplace Health

EA’s Health and Wellbeing Champions Committee invited all staff during June and July to get involved in EA’s Summer Family Food Appeal.

We commenced this appeal to encourage and enable all staff to give back within the local community by donating food items via Trussell Trust Food Banks

Following the closing date for collections each Food Bank collected the items, weighed them and distributed them to local families in crisis. This has made a big difference and something that EA Staff should be extremely proud of.

How did we do?

The items donated across Armagh Office, Dundonald Office, Omagh Office, Ballee Office and Belfast Office totalled 383.36kg in weight (60.37 Stone). This is a great outcome which highlights the generosity of EA staff at a difficult time.

Each Food Bank have expressed their thanks and gratitude to all EA Staff who contributed to this Family Food Appeal at their local office, local shopping centre or in other ways.

“A big thank you to yourself for organising this and the staff at EA for the very kind donations”

Sean McCloskey Project Manager & Warehouse Co-ordinator, North Belfast Foodbank
