Every year in November, Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) run Talk Money Week as an awareness raising campaign that encourages you to be more open about money with your friends and family and access advice from experts if needed.

Despite the current spotlight on household finances, talking about money remains a taboo. People find it difficult to open up about money and pensions worries, and don’t access the expert help available to help them find their way forward.

The 2024 Talk Money Week theme is “Do One Thing” and MaPS are hosting a webinar on Friday 8 November, focusing on Pension tools and helpful resources from the www.MoneyHelper.org.uk Government website.

The webinar will cover:

• Mid Life MOT tool – for people aged 45 years plus
• Pension Wise tool – help support you to book a one hour appointment for DC pensions
• Pensions calculator – to help work out how much we will need when we retire
• Find a retirement Adviser
• MoneyHelper – Pensions Helpline
• Power of Attorney tool
• Putting your affairs in order resources
