Summer Family Food Appeal Success 2022

Workplace Health / Family Health

We were delighted to be able to support the work of our local Trussell Trust Food Banks by conducting an EA Summer Family Food Appeal for the 2nd year consecutively. This appeal was once again supported by our Health and Wellbeing Champions, our Champion Committee and our Charity Sub-Committee.

EA Staff and Schools got involved and donated food item(s) that were included in Emergency Food Packs for Children, Young People and their Families most in need within our communities.

We are heartened to be able to announce that the items donated by the EA weighed a total of 518.45kg

James McMenamin from the Foyle Food Bank conveyed “We would once again like to thank each and every person who donated to the foodbank we will be able to use this food to help those in need.”

We were also grateful of the support from Terex Corporation who reached out after observing the efforts of EA Staff and Schools to Give Back within the local community. Staff in Terex partnered with us during this appeal and they too donated much needed food items which were provided to Trussell Trust Food Banks.

Thank you to all who got involved and donated at their local office or supermarket and played their part in making a huge difference.
