Teachers AVC’s - Information Session

Financial Health / Pensions

20 April 2021 – 4.00pm – 4.45pm

The EA Health & Wellbeing Team have arranged for Kith & Kin Financial Wellbeing to deliver an information session covering the important aspects of Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVC’s).

AVC’s are a way of topping up your Deni pension and can be paid through the Scheme’s AVC provider, Prudential.

The information session aims to educate members of the NITPS on a range of important aspects of financial planning for retirement. Regardless of age it’s never too early to start planning or indeed never too late to boost your tax free cash sum and/or pension.

The information session will focus on –

  • What is an AVC
  • How it works alongside the teachers’ pension scheme
  • What are the benefits i.e. tax savings
  • How to maximise the full potential of an AVC
  • How to apply for an AVC plan
