Upcoming NILGOSC Member Webinars

As part of Pension Awareness Week 2025, NILGOSC are running information sessions for LGPS (NI) Scheme members. Each session will last approximately one hour, with an additional thirty minutes for questions at the end.

This webinar is a high-level overview of the current LGPS (NI) Career Average (CARE) Scheme. It is suitable for employees with membership in the Scheme after 1st April 2015, including employees who have joined recently. It is also helpful for employees who have opted out but may wish to know more about the Scheme. The session will explain the main Scheme benefits, contributions and AVCs/APCs, transfers and aggregating other pensions. There will also be a demonstration of how to access My NILGOSC Pension Online to keep track of your NILGOSC pension and to plan for future retirement.

This webinar is a detailed overview for future retirement planning, including membership of the Final Salary Schemes before April 2015. This session will cover the use of Additional Voluntary Contributions and Additional Pension Contributions to boost pension savings, the different types of retirement, and will also cover what options are available if you leave the pension scheme before retirement. There will also be a demonstration of how to access My NILGOSC Pension Online to keep track of your NILGOSC pension and to plan for future retirement.

Approaching Retirement Webinar

This session is aimed at employees who may be thinking of retiring in the next few years. It will cover the different types of retirement, how benefits are calculated and will include a demonstration of My NILGOSC Pension Online and how to tailor your own pension projections.

These sessions will be delivered as Microsoft Team meetings, to join simply click on the relevant date and time above and register your place. Alternatively register via the Nilgosc website http://www.nilgosc.org.uk/members/training-events. A calendar invite will be issued automatically by Nilgosc as soon as you register, if you don’t receive it please check you have used the correct email address.
