May Movers EA Step Challenge 2025

Men's Health / Women's Health / Workplace Health / Get Fit

To mark National Walking Month which takes place throughout the month of May we are delighted to launch our EA May Movers Step Challenge.

Let’s enjoy the start of Spring, by getting together with friends and colleagues and taking part in our EA May Movers Step Challenge.

Each week there will be a new theme, and we will offer you encouragement and motivational tips to help you and your team achieve your goals and have some fun along the way.

EA May Movers Step Challenge will begin on Thursday 1 May 2025 and will end on Saturday 31 May 2025.

Each team will be made up of 4 members from any department or school across the Education Authority.

The challenge will finish on a Sunday each week. Your Team Leader will then forward us the team total Via this form on a Tuesday by 12.00 noon at the latest.

Challenge yourself to be the best version of YOU! - Registration is easy:

  1. Nominate your team leader
  2. Choose your team’s name
  3. Register your team and list your team members here.

team with the most steps in total by the end of the challenge AND the team with the most creative team name will all receive a Health and Wellbeing Goodie Bag, now if that’s not an incentive, what is!

Below is some feedback from staff who took part in the May Movers Step Challenge last year:

  • “The challenge encouraged me to engage with colleagues and make a real effort to get out and about. Loved the themes and locations for walks.”
  • “Friendly competition within school. Incentive for everyone to get outside and get active.”
  • “Motivating being accountable for my own steps. Enjoyed being part of a team.”
  • “Connecting people and encouraging exercise and work life balance.”

Let’s all come together and make ‘May Movers’ fun for everyone. Remember, it’s not the winning it’s the taking part that counts!

P.S If possible try not to google a team name, as in previous years this has resulted in a number of teams choosing the same/similar team names
