World Mental Health Day 2021: What's On?

Mental Health

Sunday 10th October marks World Mental Health Day 2021! The World Health Organisation recognises World Mental Health Day on this date every year. The overall objective of World Mental Health Day is to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health. The day provides an opportunity for all stakeholders working on mental health issues to talk about their work, and what more needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people worldwide. (WHO)

As we approach World Mental Health Day 2021, let’s take a look at some exciting events and programmes that you can get involved in to show your support and look after your own mental health too. Stay tuned to our social media channels on Sunday as we’re marking World Mental Health Day by climbing Slieve Donard! We’ll also be sharing advice from AWARE staff, volunteers and ambassadors on how to support others with mental illness.
