Aware NI

AWARE NI is the depression charity for Northern Ireland and the only charity working exclusively for people with depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.

We're a Derry born charity and have offices in both Derry/Londonderry and Belfast, as well as an established network of 24 Support Groups in rural and urban areas across the country - these are run by our trained volunteers. Our Support groups welcome people with depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, as well as those who care for people with the illness.

AWARE NI also delivers Information Outreach sessions, we attend community events to provide more information about AWARE NI's mental health services and general support. Plus we have a series of Workplace Wellbeing training programmes and workshops to support and champion mental health at work.

AWARE NI delivers mental health and wellbeing programmes in communities, schools, colleges, universities, and workplaces. These programmes include:

  • Mood Matters
  • Living Life to the Full
  • Mental Health First Aid
  • Mindfulness
