Join in on Sustrans' Active Travel Open Day
Get Fit- A led ride from the Active Travel Hub to the Titanic Quarter
This is at 10am-12pm. The route follows, Cs Lewis Square, Comber Greenway, Titanic Railway Bridge, Sydenham Road (segregated cycle path), Titanic Quarter, Maritime Mile (behind Titanic Belfast, cycling past the Great Light and HMS Caroline), stopping for coffee at Cafe1404, (offers a pedal perk of 20% off for cyclists), return to the hub via Victoria Park and Connswater Greenway. The distance of the ride is 7-8 miles long; the route is flat and will be going at a gentle pace.
- Ditch the Stabilisers
Training session for children -we take off the stabilisers and pedals and work with parents and children to practice cycling skills.
- Bike Maintenance
Find out how to take a wheel off, change a tube, fix a puncture and other top tips to keep your bike in working order. Time: 1.30pm to 3pm.
- Loan Bike Trials
Come down to the hub and try out one of our loan bikes on the square. If you live in East Belfast and are interested in cycling to work, you can ask about loaning a bike for a week, free of charge, to give it a go. No need to book, just come down between 1pm and 3pm.
