The 5 A DAY Challenge

Healthy Diet

It is recommended that we have at least 5 A DAY, as fruit and vegetables provide us with a range of different vitamins and minerals needed for health, as well as fibre which is important for our digestive health. This can reduce the likelihood of developing a variety of health conditions such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes and bowel cancer.

Variety is key, each portion of fruit and vegetables will provide different amounts and combinations of nutrients. The British Nutrition Foundation have created a useful video and challenge guide for BNF Healthy Eating Week, why not explore this and challenge yourself or a group of colleagues?
