Breast Cancer Awareness Session

Cancer
Health and Wellbeing Team

This session is being provided by Cancer Focus NI and will cover the following topics:

  • The numbers of breast cancers in Northern Ireland
  • Signs and symptoms to look out for
  • How to look and feel for breast cancer – we can use our Breast Cancer torso to demonstrate how to selfexamine, and also show the signs of breast cancer
  • Mammograms and screening will be discussed
  • The prevention messages will be shared
  • Support services for people with breast cancer, including information on bra fitting services, support groups, counselling etc.
