Grief an Everest to Climb

Volunteering

Jim Weir an AAO with CYPS and one of our Mental Health First Aiders and trainers is preparing to climb Mount Everest on 8th-23rd April. Jim is aiming to climb to Kala Patthar just above Everest base camp in memory of his daughter Leah.

Jim is completing this fundraiser to raise funds for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust. The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust aims to alleviate the financial hardship of bereaved families repatriating the bodies of loved ones who have died abroad in sudden or tragic circumstances back to Ireland.

KBRT helped support Jim and his family when his daughter Leah sadly passed away just off the coast of France in 2018.

Jim’s fundraiser will go directly to KBRT – if you would like to donate and read Jim’s story please see the link below:-
