We are delighted to inform you that as an Education Authority (EA) employee you can now join the Benenden Healthcare scheme as a corporate member and have immediate access to all the healthcare benefits on offer.  As a corporate member you will not have to wait the usual 6 month qualifiying period to access Physio, diagnostics or treatment.

All EA staff, teaching and non-teaching (paid by either EA or Deni payroll) in schools and services can join an NHS complementary healthcare scheme in partnership with Benenden Health and have immediate access to all the healthcare benefits. (Other Education Sectors can avail of the same terms by contacting Melissa Hunter, Business Development Manager for Benenden Health on 07704202715 / melissa.hunter@benenden.co.uk

  • £15.50 per person, per month wef 1st April 2024 facilitated via a payroll deduction. 

How to join Benenden Health:

To ensure membership begins on the 1st day of the following month please submit your opting in form by 20th of the current month.  Once you have joined the scheme and your membership is active you can opt to add family members at a cost of £15.50 per person per month (increading to £15.85 from 1 April 2025) by calling 0800 414 8274 (please have your membership number and bank details available) or complete the attached Add Family Members Form. 

*To ensure family members enjoy the same terms as you they must be added within 60 days from the start of your membership. (Please see attached Employee Booklet for more details)

  • 24/7 Mental Health Helpline – access to a qualified counsellor 24/7
  • Care Planning and Social Care Advice – Expert advice and support to help you resolve your care needs.
  • Be Healthy magazine – quarterly health and wellbeing magazine.
  • Employee rewards and benefits – access to rewards and discounts on gym memberships, cinema tickets and shopping discounts.
  • The Benenden Health App and Wellbeing Hub – access to healthcare benefits on the go.
  • Private Medical Diagnostics – up to £2,500 (if you are faced with a waiting time of more than three weeks on the NHS)
  • Private Medical Treatment – full cost of any authorised treatment or surgery (if you are faced with a waiting time of more than five weeks on the NHS)

  • Physiotherapy – access to a physiotherapist within 15 mile radius of your home with no GP referral needed up to a maximum of six sessions
  • Cancer Support – access to an experienced registered nurse who will provide emotional and practical support and advice.
  • Mental Health Counselling Support – short-term structured support when faced with a life stressor.
